YOUR INSURANCE MAY COVER YOUR VISITS AT 100%
Aligned Health Practice is currently accepting insurance for nutrition services. Did you know that even without an official medical diagnosis, many insurance companies are still covering nutrition visits through preventative care!
Why not check and see if your insurance company covers the visit? Start by calling to 800 number on the back of your card. It is important to verify benefits with your insurance company prior to the appointment with our practitioner. Use these FAQ to guide you in this process.

What insurance companies does AHP participate with?Medicare. This includes Medicare Advantage from private insurers. Please note that Medicare Part B only covers renal disease (not on dialysis) and diabetes visits. We are in the credentialing process with Caresource and IU Health. Stay tuned!

What if you do not participate with my insurance? This means we are an out-of-network provider. If this is the case, you will need to pay for the session at the time of service via cash, check, or credit/debit card. However, AHP can provide you with a “Superbill” and/or an itemized invoice you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Reimbursement is based on your policy. Please call your insurance company’s member services number to verify how reimbursement works under your current insurance policy. Please note that payment is due at time of service. Initial nutrition visits are $160.00-240.00 and each nutrition follow-up visit is $70.00-140.00. AHP accepts cash, check and all major credit cards (including HSA/FSA).

If I am outside of Indiana, can insurance still cover me?Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many insurance companies have expanded Telehealth options. Again, this varies per policy. This means our providers have now become more accessible to those in neighboring states and even within the state of Indiana but outside the comfortable traveling radius. However, due to licensure laws, the states our Registered Dietitian can offer services is limited. Please follow this link; if your state is RED, our Dietitian can not provide Medical Nutrition Therapy services but would be happy to offer help with finding a Dietitian in your area. Yellow and white states CAN be seen by our Dietitian.
